Maybe an odd question but...

What do we (the buyers) wear at closing? I was thinking dress up a bit (sweater dress with leggings and boots for me and dockers and button shirt for DH), but DH thinks that jeans would be just fine...So what did everyone wear?
TIA!

i wore exactly that! a sweater dress and FH wore his work clothes bc he came from the office.

it doesnt matter to anyone else but you! we made it a special occasion followed by a nice dinner with family.

no one is looking at what you wear-- just the checks! Chat Icon

good luck!Chat Icon

The sellers dragged their feet for us to close. By the time we closed I was 9 months pregnant and it was the HOT end of July. I was already dealing with contractions, so they were just happy my water didn't break while we were there. No idea what we wore. Chat Icon

Re: Maybe an odd question but...

We closed in may--DH came from work so he was wearing work clothes, I think I was wearing a knit dress (I had taken the day off) but that's what I normally wear in nice weather...so we didn't dress up per se. But I would at least look neat.

I came from work, so I was dressed up. DH did not, but he was nicely dressed as well.

Thanks everyone-it is a special occasion for us (we've come a long way with this house) so we are going to dress up a bit-maybe go out to dinner afterwards...thanks!

Just jeans and a shirt are fine, it's not really a big deal and nobody will care. Just be comfy. :)
