Mattress?

What type of mattress is better...foam or coil? Trying to decide which one and I have no clue. Thanks ladies!

Re: Mattress?

I am pretty sure the one we have is coil but I really don't know which is better, its just what we happened to get.

Re: Mattress?

Hmm...I can't remember what I got. I want to say it was a combination??

When I was researching the most important thing was that it was firm. The second thing to consider is the coil ones, while they last for years longer (even if you had the Brady Bunch, you can get away with the foam), they're heavier. Try lifting a heavy mattress at 3am with little sleep because they've gone through a diaper & you'll opt for the lighterweight model.

Also you may want to check out Baby Bargains website for their new reviews.

I went with foam since it is soooo much lighter which makes changing the sheets a lot easier. There are good and bad mattresses of both types though. Looking at Baby Bargains is a great recommendation.

Yes...I read in my baby bargains book that they recommend the foam and it's also lighter.

They are giving me the mattress with the purchase of my furniture, and this is the one they suggessted, but I thought I would ask the experts Chat Icon
