Maternity Shoot Prices
If you have done or are doing a maternity shoot can you please share the price your photographer charges for prints and digital files?
I feel like the photographer I would like is overpriced so I'm just looking to see what others charge. I would really like the digital files but 20-30 is 1k

I did not get information for maternity shoots but when I did newborn prices I checked all their prices on their sites under "investments" and also emailed the actual photog.
I agree $1k is a lot!! Good Luck!

Off the top of your head do you know which photographers have prices listed on their site? I don't want to email photographers that I'm not interested in using, I don't want to waste their time but I don't mind checking out the sites for those who list their prices.
I can get 5x7 prints for $30 each. That would be cheaper, especially if I only want 10 images and I'm guessing I could scan them and then order more prints online myself? Or would the quality be lacking from a scannd image? I'm not sure how it works with prints? For my wedding I did digital only and I did my own prints.

Scanning and copying prints is actually illegal unless you get a specific release from the photographer to do that and I dont know any that allow scanning of prints since that makes the photos look bad and ruins their work. Most labs wont do it without a print release anyway.

I havent finalized my newborn photographer yet but I am looking to find one that will let me purchase/include the CD of images, in the price rather than require me to order prints through them and then I plan to use mpix.com to print.
The quality is supposed to be close to professional and they are relaly inexpensive.
Scanning then printing likely wont come out great.
