Maternity Leave Cooking Question...
My maternity leave starts tomorrow. I took a week before my c-section to get some stuff done around the house before the big day...Anyone have any good ideas for stuff I can make and put in the freezer for easy reheat over the next few weeks besides pasts and meatballs lol. I am stumped. TIA.

Re: Maternity Leave Cooking Question...
Sauce and meatballs like you said is my fave!
I also like to make (to freeze):
Chili Stuffed Shells Lasagna Chx Pot Pies Beef & Broccoli (with rice)
If you go on Pinterest and just put in freezer meals, they are 1000s of recipes that freeze well.

Re: Maternity Leave Cooking Question...
Before I had my DS, I made chili, meatballs, sausages, breaded chicken, floured chicken, grilled chicken, pulled pork, salisbury steak, baked ziti. I literally had enough meals for 2 months. My DH thought I was crazy, but it was the best thing I ever did.

Paula deens meatloaf Cha Chas white chicken chili from allrecipes Pulled pork Taco meat Honey baked ham freezes really well and you can add to recipes or just serve on its own. I usually do meat sauce so I can serve over pasta or make Ziti, lasagna, etc.

I make individual pot pies using biscuit dough or crescent roll dough.
I chop up chicken and onions and sautee in some olive oil (or I use the Perdue short-cuts, which saves even more time because they're already cooked).
Then I mix the chicken and onions with frozen veggies (peas, carrots, corn, whatever you like really), and some kind of cream soup (mushroom, chicken, celery). I put one piece of dough in the bottom of a small/individual casserole dish, about a cup of the chicken and veggie mixture, and then another piece of dough on the top. Spray with PAM and cook at 350 or 375 for about a half hour or until golden on top.
