Boil five quartered yukon gold potatos until done. Drain and return to pot.

Mix with a stick of butter and half and half until desired consistency. Add a dollup of sourcream. Salt and pepper to taste.

Ok...you've done it...steak and mashed potatos for dinner tonight

I usually do the same ( not as much butter and FF milk intead most of the time) and lately instead of sour cream I have been doing a little cream cheese... they are sooooo amazing with the cream cheese! I use my hand mixer cause they come nice and smooth and its super quick!

Re: mashed pototoes

I only use red potatoes (with skins on-i hate peeling) but everyone loves my mashed potatoes as simple as i make them. I boil 5-6 potatoes, cout them some in a glass bowl add a little butter, mix with an electric mixer with some milk added (gives it a whipped look/taste) and voila! Simple and easy and delicious.
