manual breast pump recommendation and question?
Anyone use a manual pump? if so which one? planning to go to a concert in nyc in a few weeks and I know will be gone too long to go without pumping. can a manual pump be used discreetly? I have no idea what to do. this breastfeeding is more complicated than I had anticipated lol

Check to see if the place you are going has a nursing area.
I have never used a manual pump. I would probably just bring my regular pump with a battery pack and pump in the bathroom.

manual breast pump recommendation and question?
I normally use the spectra s2 which is plugged in. I've even used it in my car on days out bc I have an outlet.
But twice I've used a manual pump for days in the city when I knew I wouldn't be near an outlet. I used the medela one. I keep the parts in a storage zip loc bag and bring a backpack. I go to a fitting room, bathroom or wherever and pump discreetly.

If you are just going to miss one nursing session, I would consider just manually expressing the milk just enough so you are comfortable while at the concert instead of bringing a pump

I use the Medela, works great. I wouldn't say it's discreet, but if I threw my nursing cover that I use when I nurse him over myself when I pumped, I think that would be ok.

I use the medela. I've used it in public with my nursing cover and felt comfortable. You could also just go to the bathroom. It's way easier than lugging the electric pump and looking for a place to pump.

The medela one is super easy to use and easy to just throw in your purse. I would just pump in the bathroom.

I like the Medela manual, the Lansinoh one isn't bad either.
