Manicure????
For those of you who get manicures can you tell me what it is they spray on your nails/hands right before they put on lotion? Most of the time it smells like nail polish remover but on a couple of occassions it smelled like witch hazel. I've asked but either the ladies smile and laugh or tell me it's to help my skin . TIA!

its like a cleanser for you nails/hands...since most dont have you run to sink to wash your hands, they use the spray.

Thanks for the replies! OMG now I get why it smelled so familiar. I used to use sea breeze back in H.S. to clean my face post soccer practice!
Part of me wishes they would not use it and allow me to wash my hands. I think I'll just tell them next time they break out the squirt bottle.

actually i am pretty sure that the alcohol in the spray cleans your nails better than soap and water - it gets rid of any oily residue and allows the nail polish to stick better, which makes it last longer. my manicurist doesn't use spray, but she uses np remover on my nails one last time after the lotion to make sure that the nails are totally clean.
