Mama June Dating Man Who Molested Her Relative
Mama June is seeing someone new, but there's a big problem ... the guy just got out of prison after serving time for molesting one of June's relatives ... TMZ has learned.
The new guy is 53-year-old Mark McDaniel. He was convicted in 2004 for aggravated child molestation. Prosecutors say he molested an 8-year-old child -- forcing oral sex. June was dating McDaniel at the same time he molested the child.
We will not identify the child but it's someone with whom June has contact.
McDaniel served 10 years and was released this past March. He is now a registered sex offender in the state of Georgia.
We're told Honey Boo Boo's mom has been seeing McDaniel for the last few months ... sneaking away from production of the show and meeting up with him. We're told she's also been setting him up by buying him various gifts.
The photo was taken a few weeks ago in a hotel room where June, McDaniel, and other guests were hanging out.
We contacted TLC, which produces "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." The official says, "TLC is not currently in production on HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."
We reached out to June ... so far no word back.

He's a disgusting pig and she's a piece if sh!t allowing him back. I can't even imagine how the family member feels about this.

Why are we giving this skanky trailor park trash any tv time. I watched this show one time for like 5 mins. I was mortified for them. Trash!!! She should have her children removed and placed in foster care. Not ideal, but they wont be around this shit.

I wonder if she dumped sugar bear cuz this guy was getting out of prison. She's not worried about him touching her girls? And he did this while he was with her so it shows that she obviously wasn't doing it for him he had to go for a child. Crazy.

Amen. These people are disgusting. Why are they even in the public eye again? I never saw the show, but I doubt I could stomach it or would have any interest after reading this.

And she apparently told her daughter the same thing: "Mama said the story isn't true and she said she hasn't seen Mark since he's been out of jail," Cardwell says.
"My whole body believes that she is telling the truth," she continues, "but my mind is going back and forth from – you know, hey, she's telling the truth or she's not telling the truth, but most of me believes her."
Cardwell also says that after McDaniel was arrested, Shannon was skeptical of her story about being molested.
"A week or so after it happened, I talked to Mama and she was upset, crying and saying, 'I don't believe you, I don't believe you, why would you do this to me?' " Cardwell says. "And I was like, 'Mama, he did that to me and I can't do anything about it. You were never there to see it you were always at work."
Cardwell moved in with her grandmother after the molestation, a source told PEOPLE, and only moved back in with Shannon in 2012 shortly before Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's premiere. "Me and Mama realized we needed to put this behind us and get our relationship back on track and that's what we did and that's what we have been doing," Cardwell says.
If it's true that Shannon and McDaniel are together again, Cardwell, who is a mom to 2-year-old daughter Kaitlyn, says, "I would feel hurt. I would not feel betrayed, but I would feel hurt. You know the past should be in the past and it should stay in the past and not come back out."
But one thing is for sure: "I would not let her see Kaitlyn unless Mark is out of the picture or away because I don't want him nowhere near my child," Cardwell says. "Nowhere close to her."
