Making LI a state? What do you think?
I heard on news 12 that they are considering making LI the 51st state (seperate from NY). What do you all think about it? They said it could make the cost of living more affordable

Yeah right - it'll just be the most expensive state in the union. Great, another reason for things like tolls on the parkways/LIE, etc. It's a nutty concept.
