Making baby food advice

DS is almost 9 months..to date I have been using earthsbest/gerber organic products..

I have only made for him pastina..and would like to start cooking for him..any advice?

Looking for some quick and easy recipies. (He has a milk protien allergy, so I need to ommit any cheese/butter/milk products.)

Re: Making baby food advice

Dd is almost 9 months and I've made all her food. It's pretty easy- I just steam or roast veggies and fruits and purée with hand mill.

Her fave is kabocha squash. Just halve, seed, place meat side down and roast in a half inch of water 400 degree oven and purée. Thin with BM or cooking liquid.

Another is baby spinach and apples.

She is getting to the age where she is getting used to textures and I'm beginning to give her some table foods too. Wholesomebabyfood.com is a good resource

Thanks..I will check it out..I have been giving him Earth's Best' s meats..but they are mixed with fruit and veggies..and I feel like when I try to give him something that doesn't have fruit in it, he is not happy..i want to try give him a better variety..and I am starting to feel guilty that I have not cooked all along..I was always nervous for some reason that I would contaminate it..lol
