Making a Trifle-Opinions needed

So I made a pumpkin spice trifle for Thanksgving that was a HUGE hit. My in laws didn't get to have any and have asked that I bring one for Christmas---is pumpkin too last season? Should I make a different kind of trifle? I was thinking of making that pumpkin recipe and then bringing some other sort o Christmas recipe. What do you think?

I think it's fine! Especially since it was such a big hit! Adding a Christmas recipe is good too. Get the best of both seasons!

I made a trifle with panettone and mascarpone last year for Christmas, it was delicious. I can find the recipe if you are interested!

I have a trifle dish and some marscapone that I've been wondering what to do with! I'd love this recipe if you could post it! Chat Icon

Sure thing!! I can't take credit, its another Giada recipe, but beware - I follwed hers exactly (except that I made it in a large trifle dish, not individual size) and it was WAY sweet. I think you could leave out the powdered sugar entirely and be ok since you have the chocolate. I didn't use espresso powder, I may have used cocoa powder instead.

PS - I'm making the nutella tart tonight for tomorrow - how do you think I should keep it overnight? You can FM me, if you don't mind. Don't want to hijack the trifle thread! Link
