Makeup / moisturizer expiration question
I was looking for a makeup case, and just found a makeup bag wayyyyy in the back in my bathroom vanity. it's from a Clinique giveaway. it has a lipstick, moisturizer, wrinkle treatment and a few other items. their all a nice size too, not minis.
I hate to throw it all away, but it's old, I don't even know when I got it. I haven't bought anything from Clinique in about 2 years. My best guess is that it's 3 years old, maybe even 4.
should I throw it all out? there are no dates on anything.

I don't think so. we have CAC and keep our place cool all summer long. DH thinks it's hot when it's more than 74 in our apt  
all the stuff is in a sealed plastic bag too

I don't think so. we have CAC and keep our place cool all summer long. DH thinks it's hot when it's more than 74 in our apt
all the stuff is in a sealed plastic bag too
If it smells off I wouldn't use it, if not it's fair game! I sold Mary Kay for many years and never had anything go bad even after I stopped selling it. I have leftover things and they have always been kept in cooler temps as I hate the heat too!

Maybe a 4-5 years old Hey it still does the job ! I also went on an Ebay frenzy and bought some stuff I LOVED but was discontinued. It was still good. Don't do this with fragrances though

if you used the lipstick or mascara, pitch it for sure... they have a life span of only 6 months once opened... as for the powdery stuff, I would probably pitch it, but I'm on the fence about it....

Used: 3-6 months max for mascara, 6 month-1 year for eye shadow
New (but always kept cool): 3 years.
Smell it before you try it.
I would trash any of the creams though.
