if you sent a regular first class letter to chicago on monday, would they have gotten it by now?

I find mail slows down this time of year. I always thought it was the holiday cards and packages, but I think that's just my justification. For whatever reason, mail has always seemed slower in December... Don't give up hope yet. Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow!

The USPS operation has service/transit times and during this season they are operating almost at full capacity. The USPS moves most of the mail via commercial airlines and Amtrak. I would give it a full seven days.

Yes. It typically takes about 2-3 days when I send mail to my family out there.
