One of my friends is a mailwoman (not on LI but Upstate) and posted last night that no off day for her today, so I am assuming yes, there will be mail if they can get to you.

NY and NJ announced a full truck ban so if you are expecting a delivery I am doubtful it will come. CT said they expect to announce a full truck ban as well.

I wouldn't have thought so, but we just had a truck come through for brush pick up in town of brookhaven. Better to get things off the street now I guess.

Mail Delivery?
My friends DH had to report this morning. We took our mailbox down bc it is just hanging on the house by two screws. we also figured there would be no deliveries today. USPS is crazy!

My cousin is a postal worker in Nassau and had to commute from Deer Park. He delivers on foot too!

USPS is open today and tomorrow!! My mail man just arrived and he said he cannot understand how they are going to deliver tomorrow with trees down etc...I think its too dangerous and I dont need any mail urgently enough to warrant putting these guys lives in danger....we gave him some homemade cookies to make his day a little brighter and he was so thankful.
