Made my 1st RE appt..
Well I made the call. I have my 1st appointment Monday with Dr. B.
What do I expect for the 1st consultation?
I got all my records from my GYN and I wrote up a timeline month by month my cycle and when I was on Clomid and when I O'ed.
I just don't think my GYN was monitoring me as much as i should be with the Clomid. She mentioned PCOS and that was when I was like ok I want to see a RE.
I am a lil nervous.
TIA!!

Re: Made my 1st RE appt..
The first appointment the dr asks a lot of question, it definitely helps that you are bringing your records. My dr gave me an entire exam (similar to the an annual at the obgyn). After the exam he gave me scripts for all the exams both DH and I would have to get done, and than I was on my way.

I have my first appt Monday with Dr. B too! If you don't mind me asking, what time is yours?

you'll get bloodwork, most likely an internal sono, and you'll sit and talk. good luck - dr. b is the man!

Re: Made my 1st RE appt..
I did not expect to get an internal sono done at my first appt. I luckily came across a post a couple of days before I went!!! He asked us a bunch of questions, wrote up some slips for semen testing and bloodwork and said that "we're on our way", which made me excited! I know it's not going to happen over night and further testing is necessary before we consider the next steps, but I now feel that at least if we need help we aren't wasting time. Good luck!!!!

Re: Made my 1st RE appt..
My first appointment with my RE was just a consult. He looked at my records and my HSG results. At that point, though, DH had already had an SA and I had the HSG that showed polyps. So, we just went ahead and scheduled the surgery to remove the polyps...no exam or anything.
I did bring a log that I had kept about the side effects (lots of spotting and bleeding) when I was on Clomid through my OB. He def. didn't monitor me at all...that is the best thing about seeing an RE. You are followed so closely the whole way.
Good luck!
