Maclaren Techno or Triumph? Umbrella stroller question?
My boys are 19 months and I am looking to purchase a twin and single umbrella stroller. Many people recommend the Maclaren brand, but I am wondering if I should go with the techno or the triumph. I think the only difference is the footrest; am I right?
What is your opinion? or do you recommend something else?
My hubby is going to kill me! I keep buying strollers...>LOL! We have the city mini double and single, but I feel like they are too heavy and bulky. We have plenty of triplet strollers but they don't fit everywhere. The boys won't be on the stroller for long, is just for traveling or quick trips, but I still want them to be comfortable. Most times they don't sleep while in the stroller, but I still want it to be able to recline. It needs to be an umbrella stroller for easy fold and not bulky.
Your help is much appreciated
EDITED TO ADD; I hear that the Maclaren stroller seats are thight, is that so? My boys are slim but just concerned about the future.

I would go to BBB and test them yourself. I found the only difference to be the wheel construction and about $100. They go to 40 lbs. My ds fit in it until he was almost 4 years old but outgrew it for his height. I gave mine away to a friend who had twins. HTH

My boy's shoulders couldn't fit in at 18 months... so I went with another brand.
Good luck finding the perfect stroller!

Maclaren Techno or Triumph? Umbrella stroller question?
we have the triumph - I like it because it is easy to fold and pretty compact fold
my boys are on the small side and they have plenty of room and my 3.5 year old fits in it fine too when needed
but to be honest I barely use it now - my boys are 19 months- their favorite thing is the wagon - only complaint is the wheeks are loud
radio flyer makes a triple wagon - that may interest you

Re: Maclaren Techno or Triumph? Umbrella stroller question?
i have the twin triumph...the weight limit is 55 pounds per seat, which is pretty high, I think (my almost 6 year old is only 34 pounds)...My kids are smaller builds, but they they still fit fine in it at 4.5 and almost 6. I never missed any of the features of the twin techno...I find it easy to maneuver and to travel with...it folds small and is easy to push even when I only have one in it at the moment.

Re: Maclaren Techno or Triumph? Umbrella stroller question?
I don't know about the Triumph, but I have the Techno XT and LOVE it! I started using it with my first 3 years ago & he was still in it pretty often until I started using it daily with my now 10 month old. My only "complaint" is that the basket is kind of small & it can be hard to get to if I have the seat reclined.
I copied & pasted this from an older post of mine about why I like it...I hope it helps:
- The handles are adjustable & can go pretty high. DH is 6'2" & I'm 5'9" and they're perfect for us. Other strollers we looked at were too low/uncomfortable for us. - It's very light. I can carry & open it with one hand. Folding it is very easy...I often open and/or fold it up while holding the baby in my other arm. - It reclines very easily. - I love that the canopy has a zipper that lets me lower it easily if the sun is too bright or if it unexpectedly starts raining. It's not a full rain cover, but it gets the job done as I'm running to the car & I don't have to fumble w/strapping an add-on cover on it...

We have the Triumph. DS is 2.5 and quite comfy in it.
