MacArthur Airport Question
I know that MacArthur Airport has a rule that flights cannot land after 11:00 pm...has anyone had a flight come in late and it was diverted to LGA or JFK? How does that work? We are leaving our car at MacArthur airport and we're a little worried that our flight, which is supposed to land at 10:40 pm, will not be able to land if it's late....Thanks for any help/advice you can give!

Re: MacArthur Airport Question
I've never had this happen, but I remember years ago having a flight that was delayed and almost missed the cutoff to get into McArthur. Had that happened we would have landed at JFK or LGA and the airline would have bussed us to Islip.

Re: MacArthur Airport Question
I live near the airport and have heard planes come over all the time after 11pm. I have actually heard large planes at 3am--

Re: MacArthur Airport Question
If you are scheduled to land there that is where you will land -- they don't devert you because of time.
They do not schedule flights to land after a certain hour, but if your flight is delayed you can still land.
