Mac rant
I went to return something today at Mac. The guy at the counter asked me for my receipt even though he was still finishing up with the customer before me. I handed it to him and he was obviously doing too much at once because he realized later one while he was taking care of my return that he gave the other woman MY receipt... and had hers on the counter   In the meantime, they had to do some kind of override and I have something else on that receipt I was considering returning but now I have NO evidence of it without that receipt  The manager there was apologetic ...... but seriously what if I gave that guy my credit car to process the return and he gave it to that other lady by mistake! Then he says "We are crowded and I was dealing with too many people" Umm it was HIS choice to help two people at once.. and no, the store was not crowded. Ughhh I'm just so annoyed .. I spoke to the manager but ugh I just don't know how I'm going to make my other return now if I need to.
It just really annoys me when people have simple tasks that they can't even handle This was just such a careless unnecessary error .. OH and to add icing to the cake, he even had an attitude about it and defended himself left and right!!!

That is so annoying! I hate when people take on too much..I'd rather wait and have it done correctly than rush and something is wrong...call corporate!

Sometimes stores are very busy and people make mistakes - we are all human. If you wanted to return the other item did you mention that to the manager who was there? I am sure they will accomodate you as it was their error that caused you not to have a receipt...

Yea, I mentioned it to her- but now I can only return it to the Mac location where I bought it (which happens to not actually be the most convenient for me) since they will be able to look it up in their system but other Macs can't, apparently.
It wouldn't have annoyed me quite as much if the guy didn't defend himself to the ground over this like it was a common error, and he made it out like I had no reason to be upset.
ETA: Also, if I did something similar in my job, I'd be fired. I work with confidential special ed documents.. report cards.. if I accidentally gave a parent another kid's confidential report card, that would be HUGE .. and if I gave a parent another student's IEP by mistake (that's a document that explains the student's disability, goals, etc) oooooh boy, forget about it  ..

Yeah well that's not very good customer service. I am the manager at a clothing store and have been with this company 9 years and if one of my employees lost a customer's reciept I would simply call the store (whichever one you wanted to go to return it) and talk to the manager there and say look we lost this woman's receipt - she may want to return something in your store - call me if she comes in and I'll give you her transaction info. I think the guy should have just apologized and assure that they would do everything to accomodate you and that it won't be an issue...
