MAC computer help...

OK, I am a PC girl...I heart me some PC and even with continued exposure to Mac, I am just not a big fan of not being able to right click and the way you open and work on docs on a desktop.

My new job will be ALL mac...I have a brand new 20 inch screen mac that I can already hear taunting me.

How can I school myself and be a better mac person.

TIA

Hey Kel,

I heart my mac! I think once you get used to it you'll love it too. Here is a page with a ton of short-cuts for you:

I'll look around and see if I can find any other helpful info for you. Oh and remember Command=Apple. Chat Icon

Re: MAC computer help...

I just got a mac back in Nov and at first all I wanted to do was throw the thing out the window. I know a pc inside and out and with a mac I couldnt even figure out how to open the internet. Now I love it. All you have to do is just keep playing and it will all come together. From what I understand they do sell a mouse that has the right click features and also the command button plays that roll.

Good Luck

Re: MAC computer help...

You can enable the right click feature on a MAC. It is there I promise!! Go to System Preferances (where sound and volume and all that is), click on mouse, and you just have to click the button that says "enable right click"

My mouse is a one click, and if I click on the right, it does the right click features of a PC. I use MAC at home and PC at work, so I'm well versed in the MAC.

I love my 20 inch screen! The computer even came with a remote so we can watch a DVD on it if we wanted.

Re: MAC computer help...

I was a PC person until i started this job last June. I'm a total convert. I will never buy another PC again. When I'm at the office I use a mouse that let's you right and left click like you do on a PC. The brand is Kensington.

Re: MAC computer help...

We have 3 macs and we can right click on all of them. Just go to a nearby computer store and get a USB mouse with a right click. It works on MAC>

Trust me you'll never wanna touch a PC again after getting familiar with your MAC.
