m/s question
ok - I'm a novice to the throwing up part - this did not happen with my first, but, boy oh boy, is it happening with this one!
So when I throw up, it is very painful on my throat (I guess the acids?) Last night this pain lasted for hours and it hurt to swallow or eat anything. Is there anything to do for this? Even water is strange to drink after throwing up (which probably is good to do to wash the acids away)
I don't know how bulemics do it!

Re: m/s question
I am lucky that I have not really had throwing up (only a few times to something I smelled) and just had nausea.
I find that when I get that "sore throat" after that cold helps the best - water etc kind of burns - try ice cold drinks and I LOVE ice pops since the cold seems to numb it. That is if the ice pop won't make you sick.

Re: m/s question
I have the same thing, this burning acid feeling in my throat. So far Nothing really helps. I try some tums afterwards and sometimes some tea actually helps.

This is good advice. My throat BLEEDS sometimes after I throw up. I just try to drink something that is soothing.

Re: m/s question
tea is a good idea - if its hot does that bother you?
ICE POPS! love that idea! I'm usually pretty cold, so I will have to suck it up!
I think a big part of the problem is that I don't get sick after I eat, but when I am hungry and have a pretty empty stomach. So it's a lot of acid with only a little food.
hugs to all my fellow m/s people!

Re: m/s question
I had terrible M/S with my DD, from 6am to 11pm I was in the bathroom every 5 minutes....
I know its gross, but I found drinking milk helped me with my sore throat, it coated it. I also took a lot of tums after.
Feel better!
