M/S and Blood? (Maybe TMI) (Update in 1st Post)
I'm a little over 21 weeks and I still have m/s. When I got sick this morning there was blood when I threw up. Did anyone else have this? I thought there was a recent thread on this, but I couldn't find it. I'm waiting for my doc's office to open at 10am to call and ask them. TIA!!!
Update: So I talked to my dr yesterday and they said it was probably just from my stomach/throat being irritated by the m/s. I have to take Maalox 3 times a day to coat my stomach/throat and let the doc know if it gets worse.

Re: M/S and Blood? (Maybe TMI)
hmm, I've had M/S the whole time too, I'm 18 weeks. I haven't seen any blood, but I would think it could happen. I mean, if we are getting sick everyday, we must be doing a little damage to our throats!!
to a fellow M/S'er!

If you frequently throw up, you might have irritated your throat or esophagus and that could contribute to blood. Was there a lot of blood?

I happened to me...
Most likely you irritated your esophagus and caused a little tear.
After Thanksgiving 2006, I had it really bad and ended up in the hosptial b/c I was dehydrated, but the other times it happened, it was just the irritation

This has happened to me- esp if i puke something sharp like tortilla chips... ITA though that the amount of blood is really an indicator of whether that is the prob- also the color- if it is brownish it indicates it being old/coming from farther than ur throat!

This happens to me every so often. I haven't thrown up in a few days. Today when I vomited, there was a hint of blood when I spit. Gross I know but it's the truth. I am going to ask the doctor next week when I go.
