Re: Lynbrook?
We live on the north side of lynbrook (north of Sunrise) and absolutely love it. We have 1 school age child, and 2 other small children and have been so happy here. I can answer any specific questions you may have....schools are wonderful, incorp village taxes are not terrible and great neighbors....

Lynbrook?
Lynbrook is awesome. Great library programs and good schools. I would not buy a home in Lynbrook zoned for malverne schools!! I have heard from multiple people and our realtor that the district is bad. We just bought a house in Milbrook section of Valley Stream and will be leaving Lynbrook in two months. Plus lots of activities/events in Lynbrook for residents to enjoy. I love it here but didn't find a house I love.

Re: Lynbrook?
I live in Lynbrook as well (south of Sunrise), and we like it here a lot. DH and I both work in the city, and the commute is not bad. I specifically looked for a house in the Lynbrook school district (found the info on MLSLI). I don't know much about Malverne schools, sorry!

Re: Lynbrook?
My stepdaughter just graduated from Lynbrook, she lived in the westwood section and attended Lynbrook since 1st grade. I married her fatherwhen she was in second grade so I've been very involved with the schools. If you have specific questions I'd be happy to help.

Malverne schoold are "bad" because they are racially diverse.
My DH and his entire family graduated from there and received a great education.

Re: Lynbrook?
North side here also - DD is not in school yet but many neighbors kids are and they are very happy. Reasonable houses, proximity to highways and city, nice comfy feel. FM any questions. We will probably move in the near future, but plan to stay in lynbrook.
