Lunch at a vineyard?
Since it's so beautiful out today, I've convinced FH to drive to the north fork with me to hit some vineyards. I thought it would be nice to taste some wines and then have sort of a picnic lunch there... can you do that? I've only ever been to vineyards in the Hudson Valley, and they all have at least benches outside overlooking the scenery where you can drink the wine you've bought and have a sandwich. Are they like that here in LI too? Or do any of them have places where you can buy food for lunch?
We live in southwest Suffolk and don't want to drive more than an hour so we were thinking Martha Clara or Laurel Lake.

Re: Lunch at a vineyard?
Yes there are places to picnic at pretty much any vineyard on Long Island. Some are small so I would choose a larger one. If you don't like the first one...drive to the next one...there are a lot. have fun!

You can picnic at a lot of them. Especially Martha Clara. I also like to eat a Palmer.

Re: Lunch at a vineyard?
Okay, thanks. I think I'll take your suggestions and drive to Martha Clara, and maybe see what's around and stop along the way.
