Lunch and snacks
Dd needs 2 snacks and lunch every day for prek. Full day program and she needs to be able to open everything.
Can you give me some ideas of what you send with your kids? I'm looking on Pinterest but real life suggestions are offer better.
3 drinks were requested so I just bought another funtainer to keep her drinks cold.
She's in from 830 - 2pm if that matters.

Re: Lunch and snacks
For snacks I send in a
yogurt tube or a yogurt pouch. Cheese sticks (I start the opening on them so it's easy for her to just pull open) Goldfish applesauce pouch mini bags of pretzels apple slices Granola bar (anythign that might be hard to open, just open it, or start it, before packing it) Cheese and crackers
For lunch she eats a bagel with cream cheese, or a bagel with sliced cheese, or a bagel or sandwich bread with either ham or turkey and cheese
Uncrustables (not sure if they are allowed peanut butter though)
She buys a few days a week so that's about it for her lunch

Lunch and snacks
Thank you. We have to wait a week to see if anyone has a peanut allergy because she loves peanut butter. Everything above is what I was thinking. I'm not allowed to cut an apple or its ruined in her eyes so I'll just throw in a whole apple.

If she is allowed PB, the uncrustaables are awesome- especially on days you are running late because you just throw it in the lunch box straight from the freezer and it's defrosted in time for lunch It is so quick and easy!

Re: Lunch and snacks
All of the above are good suggestions, we also do yogurt-covered raisins and fruit cups.

Back when I commuted daily, I used to live off these hahaha. Theyre great for young and old! Definitely stock up at a price club, I feel like they are pricey at stop and shop. Also, if the school is nut free, dr. Prager makes a nut butter and jelly version. Not going to lie, that version is not as delicious, probably because it's healthier / organic.
