Lunch & snack ideas
Going back to work next week & am in desperate need of lunch & snack ideas to send to daycare for my picky 2 1/2 year old DS. I feel like all he eats are carbs-I try with veggies & fruits but he has been refusing almost everything lately, it's so frustrating. I feel guilty sending him with grilled cheese, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, & pasta all the time. I just wish he would eat sandwiches because it would make my life so much easier lol. He loves mini muffins, nutrigrain bars, graham crackers & yogurt for snacks but I'm not sure those are always the greatest choices. Ideas please!!

Re: Lunch & snack ideas
Do you send him with warm pasta- in a thermos?
My two year old is the same way with food. Maybe you could shred some zuchini and carrots and cook it with pastina and send that in?
I swear 2014 is the year of the crazy baby...
My older one never give me a hard time with food. Or anything else for that matter lol

That's all my 3.5 year old will eat!
He does like (turkey) meatballs and sometimes sliced turkey.

I don't send in any food warm, the teachers will heat up whatever I send in for like 45 seconds. Good idea with the pastina, he used to eat that all the time as a baby, I'm going to try it again. Glad I'm not the only one with such a picky 2014 kid!!

Have you tried zuchini tots from skinnytaste? My little guy ate those. Once.
Maybe try making banana bread with applesauce or muffins with carrots hiding in them?
How bout smoothies?!

Re: Lunch & snack ideas
Will he eat a fruit pouch as an additional snack? My kids are picky about fruit and vegetables, but I can get them to eat at least 1 fruit/veggie pouch a day. In addition to whatever else they eat its a plus. Its just so annoying to be buying baby food for a 4.5 and 2 year old.
