We like Clos du Bois (very inexpensive). My DH is a big fan of Il Leo. For slightly more expensive, we opt for the Coppolas.

We used Red Bicycelette for our wedding favors and loved liked it. It's a Syrah and I think around $10 or less.

Re: LRusso, Preshy7 and anyone else who knows about wine
im personally not a fan of the Pindar that others are recommending, but other people seem to like it and they sell double size bottles of it at the store, so it might be good for your party.
your best bet is to go to a decent wine store- like Post Liquor in Syosset, and ask a salesperson to help you choose within your price range.
Some of my "cheap" favorites are: oakhollow cabernet rosemount shiraz/cabernet blend Marques de Caceres Rioja Babich Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Never been a big Pindar fan either! Butat out local liquor store they've been doing Friday tastings and we really enjoyed the chardonnay by Vineyard 48 (I think that's the name) - it's on the North Fork (I think it was Bidwell or Bidell - I mix them up!!). Anyway, very good and I think $7.99 or $8.99.

Re: LRusso, Preshy7 and anyone else who knows about wine
I do not like Pindar at all....do you like white or red? Sorry...I'm about to go into a meeting so I didn't get to read this thread through first! Here's some I like:
Red Bicyclette Chardonnay (they also make a Shiraz; it's okay) Both are very inexpensive Castle Rock makes a nice pinot noir I love Riesling, Chateau St. Michelle

Re: LRusso, Preshy7 and anyone else who knows about wine
If you can go to Stew Leonard's wine store in Farmingdale. They have a great selection and really good prices. Many of the wines recommended are available there. I would recommend for reds the Rosemont blend Shiraz/Cabernet.

I love these as well and they are very inexpensive. I've had them in my house and offered them to guests before and they've always liked it.
