Re: lower backpain??
It could be the baby pressuring your siatic nerve. This happened to a friend of mine in both her pregnancies and she was in a lot of pain in her back and down her leg. She had to go for physical therapy. If it keeps up I would see a dr.

Re: lower backpain??
I also have a sharp pain in my lower back - it usually happens for me when I am sleeping. It's definitely pregnancy related I believe since I didn't have it before. I am 25 weeks along and have gained 10 pounds.

Re: lower backpain??
I had alot of lower back pain at diff times throughout my pg. I think it's just from your posture & body proportions changing. It usually went away as my body got used to the change.
If it's severe, i would mention it to the dr

Re: lower backpain??
I had this up until a week or so ago. It lasted from about 18-21 weeks. It kept me up and I had a hard time getting comfortable anywhere. It has gotten better though.

Re: lower backpain??
I think I had the same thing as you. I had severe pain in what seemed to be my butt, extreme lower back, around my tailbone. Every step I would take was painful and would take my breath away.
Had it around 5 and a half months and it lasted for about a week. Luckily mine went away on it's own. I still feel a little pain every now and then.
Doctor said it could be sciatica or just the fact that our ligaments loosen up during pregnancy and we get pains! Fun Fun...
Hope you feel better! I know for me once I got up and started moving around more it felt better. Sitting down for a long time made mine worse.
