Lower Back Pain
Ok, so recently I've been experiencing some bad lower back pain (ie at the tip of my bum). Now, I don't know if this is the start of siaticia (based off some of my friends, the pain is no where as bad they had it). I tried a heating pad last night, but its awkward because I can't lay on my stomach.
HELP!!

Re: Lower Back Pain
As your belly grows, your pelvis will shift. Most women's low back curve increases . Since everything starts shifting, your muscles are getting tight.
Unless you have a disc issue (another reason for the sciatica), it's usually muscular.
Go get a massage!!!!

Re: Lower Back Pain
I have had a lot of lower back pain-- and when I spoke with my doc, he wanted me to see an orthopedist. So, I did... he didn't tell me anything either. He said if I wanted I could do physical therapy, but the pain isn't always horrible-- it comes and goes.
As a kid, I had mild scoliosis and I also have uneven hips (about an inch).. Which to my dismay the orthopedist said a vag birth wouldn't be a problem. I am just crooked. I also bruised my coyssc (sp?) bone at 12-- and that gets aggravated as well.
Why do you need to lie on your stomach to use a heating pad?? Just put it behind you when you are sitting

I'm 18 weeks today, and this is what I've been experiencing for the past 3 or 4 days. I told my husband I'll be getting a prenatal massage soon. I think I'm also going to need lumbar support for my work chair and seat in the car.
