Low Testosterone
I know this doesn't totally belong here, since we're not TTC right now, but does anybody know if there is a natural way to increase testosterone? DH has a varicocele and low testosterone. We're not positive we're done having kids, so I don't want him to start taking testosterone creams or supplements since it will decrease sperm production if we're not definitely done having kids... We had enough problems TTC our kids, so I wanted to avoid that for now if possible... Any suggestions would be great!! TIA

DH is on clomid and it has not affected his count negatively, it as actually raised it. He may want to see a urologist.

Re: Low Testosterone
He does see a urologist, who told him that he should be taking a supplement, which wouldn't be good if we still wanted to TTC... He just went for more bloodwork, so maybe his bloodwork from a few months ago was a fluke? Hopefully... I had a lot of side effects from Clomid and I think it scared him a lot because I was having EXTREMELY vivid dreams, where he couldn't wake me up at all.. If we're not TTC now (or migt never), they wouldn't put him on Clomid now anyway right? I'll have him ask when e goes again. Thanks!

I think the dose of clomid would be less dh is on 25mg a day and no side effects. He's been on it for over a month now. The varicole can be fixed which would increase count if that's an issue. Our urologist said sperm are on a 76(?) day cycle so it could have been a fluke. I would double check when he goes back.

Re: Low Testosterone
DH had low T and took a low dose of clomid every other day. It brought his T up to normal levels.
However, if your husband has a varicocele, he should probably speak with a urologist who specializes in infertility b/c that can prevent you from getting pg since the sperm can't get out.

Thank you for your help. DH does see a urologist and I have two kids, so it hasn't affected his count at all.. We're not TTC right now (or maybe never ) so I wasn't sure if there was something he could take. I'm going to ask the dr about clomid - thanks!

Re: Low Testosterone
The newest thing for men to take is arimidex. My DH took it and it worked great.
