Low HGC level..

Dr. just called 653. I calculated that I am about 5 weeks 5 days, but doesn't this sound low? I am freaking out. Dr. didn't even want me to come back for another blood test in a few days. She is sending me for an ultrasound on Tuesday. She didn't sound too concerned, but I am still scared.

I just had to deal with this. You may not be where you think you are. You may have ovulated or implanted later than originally thought. I have been doing betas since 4wks every 72 hours. I am now 6wk3d and finally cleared. The important thing not to do is stress. Adrenaline and testosterone burn away the estrogen and progesterone you need. I am a true believer in meditation and yoga. It's what got me thru the last 2+weeks.

At 5 weeks 5 days I think this is a good number. The second number is whats most important. As long as it doubles I think you are ok. Try not to stress, as hard as it is not to!

Sorry I read it wrong that she isn't sending you for a 2nd test. I would think if they felt it was low they would have sent you for another test.

I tried to edit my original post but for some reason it wont but i wanted to add that at 5wk1d my hcg 486 (lower than yours by calculation). Then at 5wk4d it jumped to 2500+. And by 6wk1 I was 8000+.

If you are concerned voice this to her. Ask her for another blood test within 72hrs of your last test... It can't hurt.

Thanks girls - I am trying to remain calm. I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday - it can't come fast enough!!!!!

I *think* your ok. I saw my Dr. at 5w bc I was cramping. They did a sono and he assured me everything was fine. He knew I wasn't convinced so he sent me for HGC, Im not sure what my first # was but the 2nd doubled.

If you are worried about it TELL THEM you want another HGC tomorrow. Althought I think you are ok but, I know personally I would want it bc I worry big time.

That is on the lower end, but every pregnancy is different. Not to mention, you could be a couple days earlier than you think. My numbers were on the low side and so far things are going ok. Good luck Tuesday!!
