Low blood pressure???
Anyone else???
Im having some issues with black out and dizzy spells so Ive been seeing a bunch of different Dr.'s.
Today in the office my blood pressure was 90/50 and they seemed concerned but sent me home w/o any instructions...
Im typically on the lower end of normal but NEVER like this!

Re: Low blood pressure???
I had a few incidents of this with DD - I was told being dehydrated can cause it. Have you tried increasing your fluids and see if that makes any difference.

I cant imagine thats the problem.

I do NOT have any morning sickness, but when I do think of food SOMETIMES it makes me
Do you think that plays a role?

Re: Low blood pressure???
I have low blood pressure to begin with usually 95/ 60 . During pregnancy it is normal for your bloospressure to drop a bit more than normal. this is usually due to blood pooling in the extremities and the increse in blood volume causes your blood vessels to expand and therefore reduce blood pressure.
Did you have low BP before you got pregnant? Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) from not eating will cause dizziness, so make sure you are eating and drinking regularly to prevent dehydration and prevent blood sugar drops which happen a lot more suddenly when you are PG.
My first trimester I was dizzy a lot, around 14 weeks it got better.

Re: Low blood pressure???
I had low blood pressure and dizzy/blackout spells with DD...i remember my one appt. my bp was 84/50 she asked me if i was alive...it was more normal at the next appt. though.
I had the dizzy/blackout spells before being preg. though...just remember if you are laying down and need to stand up do it SLOWLY! i know for myself I cant raise my arms above my head and look up (as in reach for something high and actually look at what im reaching for)...nothing good comes from it!
and make sure you always have some sort of snack with you...yogurt, granola bar, cheese, crackers...something for when you are starting to get dizzy.
