Loveonox users-need help
Ok I am on Lovenox for MTHFR and a couple of other things. I am on 80 mg a day subcutaneously. The bruises are absolutely horrible. Any suggestions

No advice just wanted to tell you I get horrific bruises as well. I get 120mg twice a day, I have been holding ice on the injection site before and after and the bruises arent as big or dark, but I still get them.

Do you get bruised right away or is it because you are running out of space on your abdomen? I must be lucky, i only take 1 dose a day and the most i have had is a teeny tiny bruise.

You know what I mnight be, but I am on iron. In my prenatal. A long time ago I had my ferritin checked and it was 17. I am going to ask my Dr to test me for APTT and a CBC with platelet count. That may give me some answers

can you ask to take it somewhere else? i have been doing the upper thigh per my OB and have no bruising. the one time i did the abdomen, i got a weird purple blotch that won't go away (10 days now).

I have to take 2 shots a day of 100mg. My Dr recommended arms and legs instead of belly and to alternate. Not going to lie, the bruises do not go away and they hurt like hell sometimes, but I find, especially on my upper thigh, kind of by the butt, if you can find a place to pinch, it usually helps. I have brusies on my arms, but not really on my legs. Good luck and FM me if you have any questions.

HI, I'm on 100mg a day for thrombophelia. When I first started 3.5 months ago, they were horrific, but now its has gotten a lot better. I usually ice it and ice it a little after. I cannot inject w/o icing myself.
I am also anemic and on Repliva 21/7.
I have to ask about trying other parts, such as arm and legs. I was only told to do it on my sides. That will be a great altermatives as I grow.
