I like the look of a chair rail with a darker color below and light color above.
For your bedding maybe the dark color from the bottom of the valence on the bottm part of the wall and light pink on top.
Do you like the name letters? I found many sellers on ebay that will paint them to match your bedding.

thanks for your suggestion! I really like that look too. We were thinking of doing what you said actually ,but then I was wondering if that would look weird since we are getting the dark furniture..too much brown on the bottom half of the room ya know? Then I thought maybe do pink on the bottom and a cream color on top? Or just all light pink...but I wanted to do something different.
