Lottery for Universal Pre K
I just looked on the NYS website. Why don't all school districts offer universal pre k?? Of course my district isn't on the list...Can I apply for a school out of district??

I don't believe you can go out of your district except maybe if it is for a special ed. accommodation. I would not think that teaching in another district would get you in there but I guess you can ask. The reason they do not all offer it boils down to money. I'm hoping that it won't be on lottery forever.

Thanks for the info...isn't it good that it is on lottery so some parents will be lucky enough not to pay?? Although, i think i would be annoyed if my kids were going somewhere and i paid tuition and a couple of their classmates weren't...i would just be a sore loser....
