Lost our beautiful dogwood tree (pink flowers) due to sandy - need a quick replacement

Sandy uprooted our beautiful pink flowering tree in our front yard.

now we have a 2-3 ft circle of dirt in our front yard. We are putting our house on the market and this black thumb lady needs suggestions on what to replace the tree with so when we put the house on the market - there is something nicer there than a circle of dirt .. and don't want to spend too much money - bec we don't plan on being here much longer Chat Icon

suggestions???
thanks =)

I'm not sure what you have in mind, we put a purple leaf plum tree. its got purple leaves and flowers, and looks nice. quick growing and wasn't terrible as far as cost.

I agree with the purple plum tree we had one and got many compliments on it. I would wait till spring to plant ( that's what my nursery recommended)

Thanks..I am guessing a tree would look best...

but I was wondering for suggestions for a quick fix bec we just put our house on the market and I feel it needs something there before we start getting people coming to see the house!
