Lost Gift Certificate
I bought a restaurant gift certificate to give as a gift. Somehow, it has vanished before I could gift it. I think DH may have accidentally thrown it out since it was in a plain envelope (or DD, who is obsessed with throwing things in the garbage).
Do I have any recourse at all to get another gift certificate from the restaurant? Obviously no one has used it.
I bought it last week. It was for $150.

Call tbe restaurant and see if they have some kind of record of it. Maybe they can deactivate it and issue you a new one

Yes, try calling the restaurant. We once ordered a gift certificate over the phone for a restaurant, and the envelope came in the mail empty, so the gift certificate either fell out or was stolen en route. We called and they were able to look up the missing one, void it, and mail us a new one.
