Losing weight in 3rd tri?
I know that weight is not a popular topic here but now I am becoming concerned.
I am 32w3d and at my Endocrinologist appt last night, I am down 2 of my 4 lbs gained. In the past 6 weeks, I have LOST 2 lbs which equals a total gain of +2. At this point with my son, I was up 15lbs.
I weighed myself this am, down another lb. (now at +1)
To date, the baby is measuring fine - average at 3lbs2oz at 31weeks. I expect her to be just under 4lbs tomorrow at 32.5 weeks.
I am now thinking maybe I am losing fluid? Is that even possible? I know amniotic fluid can start to re-absorb but I have NO clue why I am losing. I am eating normally (I can't even say well at this point, I eat way too much crap). I feel like crap.
I have an appt tomorrow so I will inquire, just another thing to stress about.

I would be concerned. Def check tomorrow at your appt. I don't know what it could be. Just want to give you try not to stress over until you talk to your dr.

Re: Losing weight in 3rd tri?
Not sure if it helps, but I was up 6lbs total at 27 weeks and lost 2 lbs before my 29 week weigh in. My doctor did do a sonogram and measured fluids at that point. The baby was 3lbs and my fluid level was within average range so he just told me to try to up my calories and not stress. I don't see an endocrinologist, but pre my first pregnancy I was low average weight and pre this pregnancy I was average weight. My dr has said numerous times that he'd like me to gain more and I try, but I can't seem to gain weight (I know life is tough, way worse problems to have, seriously, I'd never actually complain about this). It's probably the combination of stress (we just moved, hurricane, husband had a huge life altering exam, he started a new job working more hours, and chasing a 19 month old around all day). I know I gained nothing in the last two weeks, but hoping I didn't loose because I've been super sick and haven't eaten even a normal amount nevertheless enough to be gaining weight. I'm just making sure I'm drinking a ton and taking it easy.
Are you getting regular sonograms? I'd ask for one to check the fluid level if I were you, but know that while it may not be super common at least there is one other person in your shoes and my dr. keeps telling me that the baby is healthy as can be!

yes, i've been having biweekly sonos since the beginning and begin weekly tomorrow! its already a high risk pregnancy so that is comforting knowing they are keeping close tabs on me. i also have a 2.5 year old so maybe just life with him is keeping the weight down.
i had high fluid with him, fluid has been normal so far. we will see tomorrow
