Losing Patience and then feeling bad!

I was just wondering if anyone else ever felt this way.

My 3 year old woke at 5 am and I knew right from that moment what kind of day I was going to have. By 9:00 I wanted him to already nap. We went food shopping and on the way home both my DS fell asleep. I brought the baby in and he transfered fine. I brought my 3 year old in and he woke up and refused to go to bed. I told him he could lay in my bed with me. He kept jumping on me, getting off the bed, on the bed being a typical 3 year old, but I was really getting annoyed with it. I usually have major patience witj everything. My DH had to be at work today at 10 and has been working very long hours everyday. I have been sick all week. I decided to go to a walk in clinic with my boys because I really felt terrible. I ended up being diagnoised with bronchitis. I was trying to take care of the prescription at CVS and he would not listen (unlike his character most of the time). I know everything he was doing was because he was tired. He was so whiney on the car ride home and when we got home. I was just losing it with him and ended up yelling which I hardly ever do. He ended up taking a nap.

Sorry for the long post, I just feel so bad for losing it with him. I really was losing my cool. I even went up to him after he fell asleep and was talking to him telling him how sorry I was.

Anyone ever feel this way? Thanks for listening!

I've done it too.

I did it on Friday. I yelled at my 2yo DD because she was trying to squirm away with poop on her bare butt while I was changing her on the floor. I asked nicely, I gave her a stern warning and she kept doing it like it was a game. I lost it and yelled at her, and felt really bad afterward. The good part is that she laid still and I cleaned her up with no more drama.

I think we're allowed to lose it every once in a while.
