looks like I'll be posting here..

My original post was on the pregnancy board but DH and I found out last night that we lost our baby...there was only a sack. I decided not to go with the d&c since my doctor recommended that I take the meds. I have a wedding this Friday (i'm a BM) and I am hoping I don't start to lose the baby for that...so we are playing it by ear till Monday when I can make the appt...I hope it all goes smoothly...

I m/c my first at 8 weeks back in March and did not have a D&C. From our last sono where there was no HB to the actual m/c took about 2 weeks to happen. I didn't have any meds.

I also learned that there was no hb for this pg yesterday as well. (and we have a wedding this friday too!)

I'm opting for the procedure this time so they can run tests to see what the problem is.

Again, I'm very sorry. Stay strong! Chat Icon

I'm so sorry for what you are going through also. I never knew the baby business was so hard! i feel like it's something women should be prepared for...or maybe not b/c it would scare them! Good luck w/ your procedure. I would let everything happen on it's own but the following week I am vacationing w/ the fam and I don't want to go through that with them..I'd rather be in my own home and on my terms...i hope the meds are ok..

It took two weeks or so from when I learned I would m/c to start actually m/cing for my first m/c. I even went on a business trip to the west coast two days after it started, with my doctor's OK. I took Alleve at every opportunity and brought so many pads with me I was worried that the TSA would search my bag and ask if I was hiding something in all the padding. Chat Icon

My second was an ectopic and I had a shot of methotrexate. I was very fatigued and had a lot of abdominal pain and cramping. I couldn't even handle a day at the zoo with my nieces.

It's wonderful to have this board where women can talk about these issues.

Take all the time you need to grieve and support from your DH ,family and friends.. it truly does help!
i know for me, that these boards helped me get through mine. i lost my baby at 16Weeks. it was the most devestating time of my life. it takes a while for you to grasp the "it happens for a reason" i didnt want to believe that at first. but then it hit me all of a sudden i guess. i still think about that pregnancy all the time, it never goes away. BUT, just know that you will be a mother !! and this is just as bump in the road for you! you will get there!
