Looking for new pediatrician.
For the past year, we have used a well known pediatrician however they were bought out by a large company and the changes I have seen and what I know will come is not something I like at all. I am so sad because I used to love the practice for my now 1 year old.
I am pretty picky at this point so here is my list of what I would hope for...
I am in Lindenhurst and would like someone close by if possible.
Want a doctor/practice that is not run by a large (you are just a number and no personal service) company.
While I love the idea of a sole doctor, I think that having atleast a few doctors on staff is important so the flexibility with hours, emergencies is there.
Friendly front desk.
Friendly and knowledgeable nurses.
Doctors who are obviously knowledgeable, friendly, willing to listen to the parents concerns and input about their child's care.
Atleast 1 night with evening hours and need atleast Saturday hours, if not Sunday.
Good coverage/plan for covering offices in case of emergency.

Looking for new pediatrician.
DS sees Dr. Bobby at Dr. Mariwalla's office in west Islip (Across the street from Good Sam). He is great. Takes the time out to answer ALL of my questions, staff is friendly and they have Saturday hours. When DS is sick they always see him within an hour or so of me calling.

We love Dr. Bobby! I am pleased with the that whole office so far. There are 3 drs and a PA.

Dr mathews on wellwood ave. if i didnt move 30 min away its where id go. I even went there for emer visit when lo was 6 wks and in between drs.

Its a she... Katherine mathews. For what its worth she has been around for 20? Yrs maybe. Her sister was my GP before i moved and now i use her nieces.
Have a million amazing things to say about her and the whole family. They make you feel welcome and like your not a patient but a person.
Id like to say if you see her to let me know. Ill send you my name and tell her i sent you. She will remember me... I am pretty positive

Crashing b/c I am in Lindenhurst too and unhappy with my office. Does Dr. Matthews have evening or weekend hours?

i cant 100% talk to her hours because I knew i couldnt use her as i am so far away but if i recall there is atleast some later nights and i believe some saturdays too..
i totally reccomend going in to see her. PERSONALLY her demeanor would sell me. clearly you want a dr that knows their stuff but for my baby i wanted someone that is good with kids and i rave about her.
