Looking for ideas-party planning related-updated with another question
I'm planning my stepdaughter's high school graduation party and its been a few years since I've attended a HS grad party so I'm looking for ideas for cool things.
Its a little complicated because we live about an hour from the town SD goes to school in.
This is what we have so far-
party bus to pick kids up and drive them home
our neighborhood has a beach club so the kids can swim, use our kayaks, rafts and canoes
outdoor movie screen to play wii and karakoe
firepit for popcorn, marshmallows, smores
SD loved a lot of finger food suggestions posted here and we worked out the rest of the menu

I like to have a theme or design style to my parties.
Her school colors are green and gold but we wanted to incorporate a bit of a beach/lake theme because of our location.
I'm struggling to figure out how to pull it all together.

As for food , I love the idea of having finger foods like sliders, mini chix quesadilas, pigs in blanket etc

Uh....can I come?! Hahaha. That sounds awesome! I would keep food easy to eat like a hero, etc.

That sounds like an amazing party! Definitely keep the food simple. The kids will be so busy enjoying all the activities they probably won't want to sit down to a long meal.

I remember my HS graduation like it was yesterday, and my friends and I spent the most time hanging out in the pool.
Your best bet I think is to do a 6-ft hero or 2 (depending on # of guests) and then just all the finger foods.
I also don't think you can go wrong with burgers and dogs either.
The simpler, the better!

This sounds amazing. I would have loved to just be taken in a party bus or limo and then spend the day outside swimming and kayaking and singing and watching movies. Plus who isn't obsessed with smores?
For food, I would do heroes and pizza. And a big thing of salad and a fruit platter or something. Since it is outdoors and kind of an all day/night type thing... I think its a good idea to have food they can pick at and keep coming back to, or like a few different things out at once and then switch it up every so often or when the first thing runs out.

It is better to rent a photo booth where you can take a number of photos, you can rent the photo booth. I think it is the best option.
