Looking for date night ideas

DH & I are going to try and squeeze in a couple of date nights before this baby gets here and I want to do something that is NOT dinner and a movie.

I mean dinner is fine, but something else...

Something a bit cheaper than dinner and a broadway show too... (although we might end up doing that anyway)


I'd love to hear ideas!

how about a comedy show! they are fairly cheap and ive realized that whenever dh and i laugh together at something, its good...we end up laughing about whatever it was, again and again and its like a bonding thing.

how about bowling..to be honest, i did this with dh when we first started dating and i thought it was a little boring just him and i but it cant hurt, and its something different and could be fun if you get into the spirit and get a little competitive.

some type of fruit picking for whatever is in season...i dont know about winter though, that might be tough

DH and I just went to a comedy show Friday!

It was at McGuire's in Bohemia...not a huge venue, but it's been taken over by Governor's so they're getting better headliners there...

the shows are only about $20, and if you do dinner and a show, it's about $45...it includes salad, entree, dessert, and coffee or tea, and you each have a 2 drink minimum (bottle water or soda counts for us prego's)

It was a good time, and it's diff than going to a movie :) I love comedy so it was a perfect christmas present for me

I wish DH wasn't such a wuss about me being preggo though - he thinks it's "unsafe" for me to go bowling!
