Love our Shark. Not sure of the model but its orange. It has lasted longer than any vacuum we've had so far

Looking for a vacuum recommendation
I love my Miele canister vacuum. It was pricy but nearly 9 years later it works like the day I took it out of the box.

I LOVE my Dyson...
This is what I bought! Bed bath and beyond had a sale today. They were each $100 off plus I saved another $80 from using a 20% off coupon. Already love it.

Looking for a vacuum recommendation
I have a Miele canister also - best vacuum ever! It doesn't have to be that expensive. I got a great price and it is exactly what I need. I have mostly hardwood floors and the uprights just don't work well on them.

Miele canister. Lightweight, swivels easily and darn does that thing have suction for all the cat hair in my house. Worth the investment.
Had to replace my Electrolux canister - the vacuum worked fine, I kept breaking the plastic parts on the power brush attachment.

We had to replace our Electrolux too - the motor stopped.
We now have an aerus and love it. It’s the old Electrolux - the new Electrolux is actually Eureka.

Re: Looking for a vacuum recommendation
I love my Siemens vacuum. It’s the same company that also makes Bosch and Miele. It works great. I’ve had it for over 8 years and use it quite a bit (I have cats, lol).
Spend the extra money and get a nice German vacuum. You won’t be sorry.

Happy to hear so many of you are pleased with Miele.
What models do you have? I bought the C1 Turbo Team yesterday.

Haha... I've forever been pronouncing this as if it were the Italian word for honey--I had no idea it was a German vacuum!

I’m surprised that the Electrolux broke like that.
To the OP:
Miele is top notch (it’s expensive, but they last 20+ years). Then you have Siemens Then there is Bosch. You can also go with AEG.

I have the C2 Eletro+ For hard floors and for all carpeting, HEPA filter.
This model is made in Germany, other Miele Vacuums are made in China. DH was floored at the amount of money I spent on a vacuum, but changed his mind the first time he used it.

The power brush is heavy and the neck broke a few years ago. Had it repaired, worked fine. Then it broke again in the same place, all I did was pull the brush back. This time found a replacement brush online. Then the replacement brush broke, again at the neck. Did not want to pay the replacement/repair costs once again so I went out and bought the Miele. I had the Electrolux for 10 years. Before that, had a Swedish Viking Husqvarna for 25 years.

I know the one I bought is a lower end model but the vaccum is for my vacation rental condo. Biggest issue is the sand (oceanfront condo). The cleaning company suggested a cannsiter vac as opposed to an upright. Tile flooring throughout with a few area rugs.
The only people that will be using the vac is us and the cleaning people. Renters will not have access. I just could not justify spending more than $250. I read great reviews about this vac and hope they hold true.
I originally bought an upright Shark but didn't work well with the sand so I am returning.

Mine is a Complete C3 Powerline specifically for parquet floors (any type of hard flooring actually). It is made in Germany also and I bought it about one year ago. Does not disappoint! I believe it is a model made for sale in Canada only (I bought it online) but it was exactly what I needed at a great price.

Re: Looking for a vacuum recommendation
Used the vac today. Love it. I have never used a cannister vac and it was so easy to maneuver and worked wonderfully at picking up EVERYTHING.
I would highly recommend.
