looking for a new ped in merrick/bellmore/levittown area
I go to a large practice in bellmore and want a smaller one. I feel like none of the doctors know my ds and every time i go i need to explain all his issues. want to go to a practice with 1 or 2 docs. any rec's would be great!!!

I go to a very large practice in Bellmore too, I felt the same way as you in the beginning but then I started requesting one specific doctor all the time. He is actually wonderful with my dd and knows us very well. Once I started requesting only one doc. I never had any problems again.

we go to a large practice as well, and for well visits we always see the same dr. when the kids get sick we see whoever can see them first and use them then to follow up.

Dr. Silverstein. Lots of people leave Oppenhiemer for Silverstein on Merrick Ave, including me.

I use Dr Jefffrey Silverstein in Merrick. I love him and have since day 1. His hours are great, I never, ever wait long and he is not the quick to medicate kind of dr.....I like that. He is also very go with the flow which works well for us too. I prefer not to use a group of Dr's. The group my friend uses has 3 dr's and they all give her different advice that would really pizz me off. Good luck with your search and feel free to fm me any questions.

as a child, I went to ProKids .. at that time, they were in Wantagh on Wantagh Ave, now in Levittown on Wantagh Ave 
we are debating using them once our DS arrives
Three of the docs that I saw as a child are still there (im 26)

I will be using Dr Jassey in Bellmore. I have heard great things about him and my friend uses him for her kids and loves him.

i use Dr. Silverstein as well and absolutely love him! Just today I got a call from Ian's daycare that he had a high fever. I called the office immediate and got him an appt right away. He took him in as soon as we got there and remained calm. Thats one of the things i love about him. he never jumps to conclusions and makes me feel better. the nurses there are the best as well!
