long weekend in Chicago
We will have 2.5 days in Chicago - just me a DH. Please recommend restaurants for different meals and anything else fun to do. We are big eaters/drinkers so ideas in those departments are always welcome  We'll be there in mid March so I'm hoping the weather holds up. Thanks!

lol so will we! have a friend's party in milwaulkee but flying in and out of Chicago.

I went for a long weekend in November; I met a friend there on business.
If you search my screenname and Chicago my post will come up with people's recs and my follow up with what we did.
For more info: The Signature Room was fabulous. I highly recommend it. The Godiva Chocolate martini while overlooking the Chicago skyline...an awesome experience!
Frommers.com has a few self guided walking tours you can do. I chose the architectural walking tour; I just printed out the pages and followed most of it, googling things I was looking at for even more info on occasion. I enjoyed it. You can also check out freetoursbyfoot.com which I would have preferred but they didn't have anything that worked for me.

I love the architectural boat tour - one of my favorite things to do there.
Restaurants - Gibsons is a great steak house, if you're into that Also really liked Zed451, Quartino & Luxbar.
Howl at the Moon is a dueling piano bar - a total dive but a LOT of fun. Also really like Blue Chicago for some blues music.

If you are foodies, check out Stephanie izard's (top chef) restaurant little goat.
Signature room at John Hancock is a must. Glass balcony at the Willis (Sears) tower. Shopping on mag mile is prob. Same as madison ave.
