Long Island Housing Partnership
I have an appointment to meet with someone for mortgage counseling in a few weeks. Has anyone ever worked with them before that can share their experience with me?

I made an appt with them, but after speaking to them, it seemed to me that unless you qualify for special programs (FHA, SONYMA, etc.), I could do just as good research on my own.
Are you a first time buyer? They may help you search for programs, but for us, as second time buyers, we didn't qualify for any special programs, and I was just as qualified to search for rates as they are.
