Long Island Aquarium
Going tomorrow with 2 kids under 3. any tips or suggestions?
is it cheaper to buy the tickets online ahead of time?

2 year olds are free so no worries on that part.
There's no price difference between online or at aquarium but they are running a winter weekday deal and an adult is 19.00. You cannot combine a coupon with that deal.
If it's a weekend you can use the coupon on their site for 2.00 off each admission just print and bring with you.

I don't think they're running the special during the winter break, so print the coupons!
It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so if you're going with another adult, the driver may want to drop the kids and whoever else off first at the aquarium. Parking is a bit of a walk away.
Do downstairs first. The butterfly and bird exhibit is downstairs too. If the kids get tired, there is really not much upstairs aside from a few small tanks, another view of the shark tank, and a very small exhibit of a few small monkeys, so I wouldn't feel bad skipping it if necessary.
You have to exit through the gift shop, so be prepared for that.

I agree with tip about parking. With rain tomorrow, it will likely be very muddy in parking lot. I was there last weekend and both lots were a wet, muddy mess from melting snow. Fortunately, I had my rubber boots on. My mom and DD waited out on the street while I got the car, or they would've ruined their shoes!
