We want to go someplace not too far from Long Island with our 3 and 7 year old. I've read there is a lot to do......beach, lighthouse, amusement park, chain restaurants. If youve been there, how was it with kids.

I also looked into the Holiday Inn Mahawakin. Looked nice and they said centrally located.

Any opinions?
