Long Beach
Hello All - I have a question about Long Beach and Lido Beach - -
Lido Beach and Long Beach are accessed from Loop Parkway rigfht before Jones Beach right?
Now, Lido Beach is pretty close to the entrance of the Loop right? (on your left) Is there a fee for this beach?
Now Long Beach will come up if I keep going straight into the town of Long Beach and I can go down any side street (left) and park on the street. Are there any better streets to park on like close to bathroom, concession etc? Thank so much for your help in advance!!

Re: Long Beach
i don't know about fees or anything, but i can tell you that yes, you take loop parkway to get there. if you are coming from the east, loop parkway is not far after you go around the lighthouse, right past jones beach.

Re: Long Beach
I don't know about Lido beach having a fee but if I had to guess, I would say yes. I think the only way to access it publicly is through Nassau Beach and I believe they have a fee.
As for Long Beach, I don't recall there being any kind of concession stand near the boardwalk, though I could be wrong, it's been years since I've been there.
As for where to park, I'm guessing it's going to be busy all over, though again, if memory serves, Lincoln was always busy.
My family had a condo on Shore Road closer to Lido by Paciffic Blvd. and there was a snack bar there but I have NO idea if it's still around.

Re: Long Beach
as soon as you come off the loop you hit pt lookout, malibu, nikerson beach and then lido beach. you have to be a nassau resident and show proof and pay....
you keep going on lido blvd it becomes park ave... you can turn down anyone of the blocks in Long Beach and park. Long Beach stretches from the East end all the way to New York Ave-the west end.
there isnt a concession stand anymore... most on boardwalk is closed.. they have small imdividual people selling things like drinks icecream.. riverside rd has a bathroom.. not sure where else on the boardwalk...
if you are not a lb resident and dont have beach passes, you need to purchase a day pass and I believe they are $10

Re: Long Beach
The last time I checked, it cost $6.00 to get on the beach in Long Beach. The beach by Riverside is always packed because it's where the train station is.
My advice would be to take Park to Long Beach Boulevard, park on the side streets south of there. Get there early, because parking this weekend is going to be horrendous, trust me. I'd rent my driveway to you but we'll be using it.
Go to Max Bialystok deli which is right by the corner of Long Beach Boulevard and Park. There's also a Quiznos there, a Cold Stone Creamery, etc.
Then get your food and walk the few blocks to the boardwalk. There are small stands here and there but they're not that large and have the typical things - drinks, maybe some hot dogs if you're lucky.
Enjoy!
