Nah, I am totally paranoid about cleaning products, also. DH usually cleans the bathroom and I only clean with natural cleaners (I also wear gloves and a mask, haha!).
But, I have cleaned the toilet a few times and did the same thing as you.
My doctor just said to use common sense and keep things ventilated when cleaning.

Re: lol paranoid cleaning question

I've been cleaning my bathroom the same way I always did, with bleach since day 1. I just keep telling myself that the products my mother used were so much harsher and I think I turned out fine as she didn't know to use anything different back then. So I'm sticking with what disinfects the best... Bleach. I don't know if I would feel anything else works the same. JMO

Re: lol paranoid cleaning question

i try and use ammonia free or "green" products for everything BUT i still clean the 'bowl with lysol with bleach. i usually open the window but sometimes i do it real fast like you. it's fine! i think you'd have to be like, habitually "huffing" or bathing in it for anything to happen!
